After completing her undergraduate and postgraduate studies,
where she gained a distinction in her final recital, Lucille was invited to
participate in the Festival Pablo Casals, France and in February 2004
she was a finalist of the Royal Overseas League Competition.
Her orchestral playing has led her to perform all
over Europe including France,
Holland and Ireland
and has included performances at the BBC Proms, Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, the Birmingham Symphony Hall and with the
composer/conductor Karl Jenkins. She
has played for various Sinfonias across the South.
Solo Performances have included recitals at St.
Georges, Bristol,
St. James’s Piccadilly, the Norwegian Church Cardiff, various Concert Societies across the South and in the
Stratford Music Festival. Current collaborations include working alongside
Catherine Milledge (piano), Victoria Davies (harp)
and with the composer Andrew Wilson, culminating in the premiere of his
Sonata for Flute and Piano, written for Lucille.
She has given undergraduate forums at Trinity
College of Music and coached chamber music at Beauville
Arts, Toulouse, France. She also coaches the
flute section of the National Children’s Orchestra and has recently
performed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra outreach projects.
Lucille is a Concert Promoters’ Network artist for the
2010-11 concert series.
